Sunglass Displays in Layman’s Terms


What is a sunglass display? This is a question we are frequently asked in this business. When you go into a store that sells sunglasses, the actually fixture that holds the sunglasses is the display.

What is a sunglass display made of? Well anything really. Ok, maybe not anything! But there is a variety of materials that can be used and in many cases combined to make a sunglass display. Many manufacturers use different types of wood, plastic, aluminum, and types of metals to make their displays. The difference is price and durability in most cases, when it comes to material choice.

How much does a sunglass display cost? Well, it depends on what you want to get, in terms of quality and quantity. You can spend anywhere from $10 on small, stationary acrylic displays that hold a few pairs of sunglasses to upwards of $300 on larger rotating sunglass displays that can hold more than 100 pairs of sunglasses.

The best way to think of it is in terms of presentation. Consider what you’re presenting and who you’re presenting it to. Then think about how much you want to spend and can afford to spend on the presentation. After you have that figured out, the options are abundant.
